Most salsa dancers plateau not because they lack vocabulary — but because the foundation underneath their vocabulary is shaky. Weight shifts that don’t transfer. Hips that force instead of flow. Timing that’s intellectual instead of physical.

Footwork is only half of salsa. We build the weight shifts, isolations, and body connections that create the Afro-Latin aesthetic most classes never touch.
ON2 DONE RIGHT
A three-layer protocol: ear, foot, body. Students pass the Tumbao Test before they step. Timing becomes physical, not intellectual.
MUSICALITY CORE
From day one, dancers learn to stop counting and start listening. The music isn’t background — it’s the whole point.

Do I have to be a current Mayambo student to join?
No. The Inner Circle is open to any serious salsa dancer. If you’re committed to understanding the craft at a deeper level, you belong here.
What level do I need to be for The Lab?
Beginner through advanced. The Mayambo methodology applies at every level. Whether you have 6 months or 6 years, the mechanics we cover will change how you move.
How exactly does the Film Room work?
You upload a video of yourself dancing to a private channel visible only to Del. He watches it and sends back a personal breakdown — what’s working, what isn’t, and the specific adjustments to make. It’s the same forensic eye he applies to his competition dancers, applied to you.
What if the 20 Film Room spots are full?
Join the waitlist through The Lab. Lab members get first access when spots open. Historically they don’t stay open long.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts, no commitments. Cancel anytime. But most people don’t — because the work they do here shows up on the floor.
