MAYAMBO TEAMS

Siboney - Mayambo Student Team

Alux

Alux is our youth team open to dancers ages 14 to 19 (14-year-olds who will turn 15 in 2025). This team is all about getting younger dancers into the Mayambo training style, building a strong technical foundation, and learning Salsa from all angles.

Permission slips are required—parents, get ready to sign!

Siboney - Mayambo Student Team

Siboney

Siboney is our adult training team, perfect for dancers looking to build a strong foundation. We focus on refining body movement, coordination, shines, and lead/follow technique—breaking down our methods slowly and in detail to help Beg/Int dancers level up with confidence.

Siboney - Mayambo Student Team

Palante

Our semi pro team is where we prepare our most serious and dedicated students to work with our pro team, Mayambo. The training will be more intense with more challenging routines than in Siboney. In Pa’lante, you’ll fully acclimate yourself to the Mayambo style and level up your dance abilities.

Those with over 2 years of Salsa on2 experience can consider auditioning for  Pa’lante.

Siboney - Mayambo Student Team

Quetzal

Quetzal is our co-ed shines/open footwork team. If you’re looking to refine your personal style, sharpen your technique, and bring out your unique expression on the dance floor, this is the team for you. Under the direction of Sam Guerrero, you’ll get the signature Mayambo training. Try out for Quetzal and let your footwork do the talking!

Siboney - Mayambo Student Team

MAYAMBO

Mayambo is our professional traveling team, where dancers refine their technique, musicality, and stage presence. As part of this team, you’ll train at the highest level, mastering intricate partner work, dynamic shines, and the signature Mayambo style.

Acceptance to Mayambo is rare without first training in Pa’lante, so if you’re interested, we encourage you to try out for Pa’lante first.
